I have an application that communicates with a lot of SQL Anywhere 12 instances.
I need a developer edition for the same for testing locally.
Is it possible to get that from anywhere?
I know I can get the SQL Anywhere 16 developer edition from the website, but I wanted the 12 one just to be more accurate in my testing.
If it is not possible, does anyone know if I *could* just test on the 16 version and be safe?
i.e.: what are the major changes between 12 and 16?
Thanks,
Pranay
Hi Pranay,
The developer edition does not have version 12 anymore.
Furthermore, version 16 is going to finish support at the end of 2018.
Mainstream Maintenance
Therefore, I recommend development using version 17.

Please refer to the following manual for the difference between versions.
What's new in version 16.0
What's new in SQL Anywhere Server 17.0
Thanks,
Atsushi

In addition:
Note that you can run your v12 databases unmodified with a v16 (or v17) database engine. Nevertheless, the exact behaviour might be different compared to v12.
