INSERT FROM itab seems very slow

hi friends,

i want to get better performance and so i do insert dbtab from itab every time itab is exceeding a given limit ( e.g. 100 000 entries) - then i refresh the itab and do the same again - how can i do this all more performant ? it nevertheless takes very long time to run...
