I am configuring the business processes via SOLAR01 and receive the error "The document cannot be edited" Message no. SOLAR_DOC020.

It is also not possible to load the templates.

Amit had the right solution. It is a GUI related problem. After I installed the latest Gui patch for 7.10, I was able to open and edit documents.

the same happened with me, I installed the latest patch for GUI and every thing worked fine

I think it does not connection with the GUI version, because I cannot edit the Word-documents in the transaction SOLAR01.

I can edit .txt-files, but I cannot edit the .doc-documentas.

I have SAP GUI 7.10

GUI 7.10 has many issues solved by Patch level 2.

Try to update if not @ level 2.
