What is the t-code for stock transfer between two storage location?

T-Code MIGO

311-Material transfer from one storage to another storage location (Same Plant)

301-Material transfer -Plant to Plant -from one storage to another storage location.

309-Material transfer-Material to Material-Plant to Plant -Storage to Storage.

Hello MM Gurus:

I am trying to do a storage location to storage location transfer within a plant. However after doing MB1B movement type 311, and entering the recepient storage location and batch number, when i try to post it, i get the following error

"Data for creating a delivery is incomplete (vendor)"

Would anyone be able to help me with this...? This is an internal transfer, why is it looking for a Vendor?

Transfer of material one storage location to another

<b>1.One step :</b>

This stock transfer procedure reduces the corresponding stock type at the issuing storage location and increases the same stock type at the receiving storage location. At plant level, the stock level does not change, except that the stock is distributed differently among the storage locations in the plant.

In MB1B : You have to give the Mvt type 311 and Plant and issueing storage location and press enter

Give Receiving storage location and material and qty

Post the document

Material stock reduced in issuing storage location and stock placed in receiving storage location.

<b>2. Two steps:</b>

Posting a stock transfer in two steps involves the following:

In the first step, you enter the removal from storage at the issuing storage location.

a.In the second step, you enter the placement into storage at the receiving storage location.

b.In the two-step procedure, you can only transfer material from the unrestricted-use stock of the issuing storage location into the unrestricted-use stock of the receiving storage location. Reservations are not possible with this procedure.

You have to MB1B two times.

First to issue from storge location by movement type 313 and second placing the material in reciving storage location by 315.

In case of one step good issue one accounting document and one material document will be created then can we say that it is simply a good issue which we usually do . Pls clarify how many accounting document will be created in case of two step good issue. When we counted it as consumption of material. As we generally consider that when we issue the material , its consumed but what about two step

Hi Rita,

When you are doing a transfer posting between two storage locations as mentioned in your subject lines, there will not be any accounting doucment involved only material document gets generated as materials are maintained only on a quantity basis in a storage location.

sorry by mistake i wrote mvtt ype..tcode is MIGO offcourse..everything can be done through MIGO...y to use MB1B i dun know..it was used in previous version (older than 4.7).
