XI installation - question

Hi

I have 2 questions regarding the alllocation of instances for ABAP and JAva stack in XI installation

Is it ok to have the JAva stack and ABAP stack running in different instances of the same client and

2. Is it ok to have the JAva stack running in one instance of a particular client and the abap stack running in another instance of another client ?
