7) How we run the change run ?

9) What is KPI? with some scenario ?

10) Example for Functional specs ?

11) Detail discription of Middle ware

12) Difference between Full life cycle & End-to-end implementation

I can answer few of ur ques

    3) Repair full req is a step prior to do delta loads. init wid or widout data transfer, repair full and then delta loads is the sequence of delta loads.

if u do init wid data transfer then u dont need repair full req u can directly load delta after that

    4) return table is to return the multiple records for ex we drill down into addrss it has house number, location etc now to fetch everyting separalty we use return table

    14) we use calc key fig when i want a key fig to be a sum or sub or any math mat func to be performed on a key fig so i will create a new kf which is named as a calc key fig and i will perform the operations needed and Rest key fig is if i want to rest anyting against a keyfig i will rest it in a new keyfig

    hope they are useful

    Hi Nagaraju,

Below are some answers to your questions...Hope they may help you..

1.PSA is used for staging. Here the data will be same as the source system with out any modifications. If any load fails we can use this data in PSA to load again into the data targets.Regarding IDOC it does not use any staging process. It directly loads data into the data targets.

2.Transfer rules only indicate in which format the data is comming into the BW.But the Update rules indicate the format the data target in BW can accept the data. One more difference is when we write currency conversion in transfer rules it is global.i.e it loads the converted data in to all the targets where is When we write it in update rules it is only specific to the target we we write it in update rules.

3.for example we have a target which is loaded daily by delta update.if we again load a full load then delta mechanism will be affected as we can not again load delta once full load is done.Again we have to run the initialization. So to prevent this we run Full repair as it doesn't affect the delta mechanism.

5.This process is used to compare whether the data loaded into the BW is correct. The data is compared with the data in the source system. For this a remote cube is built and that remote cube gets data from source system.then we build a multi provider on remote cube and BW and run the report. In this process we compare the data in Source system and BW which is known as Reconsilation.

6.We run the Change run to make necessary changes made in master data to be reflected in the data that is maintained in the hierarchies.

7.Go to RSA1 >TOOLS >Apply Hierarchy/Attribute change. After selecting this it displays a pop up box where we select to which object we need to run the Change run.

10.For example we have a super market business. You want to implement the SAP.Then a business analyst analyses the business, what data is required to maintain and how.So he creates a functional Spec like we need Customer details,Material Details,Stock Maintainence and so on.This will be converted in to Technical Specs by BW Developer.

11.Middle ware is nothing but the interface between back end for example Data Base and front End.

12.Full life cycle is Starting from Development to Testing and Production where as End to End is only Implementing the project.

14.we use Restricted key figure for example when we want to retrive Customers in report who has made a bill more than 1000.Here we are restricting the Customer based on the Revenue.Where as we use calculated Key Figure to calculate some thing like calculate the total purchase made by a customer for this period. The it will add all the purchases made by that customer between that period.
