We have many roles and user IDs defined in EP DEV system.
We want to export the roles and users from EP DEV.
Then we want to
1) import the exported roles into EP QAS
2) import the exported users into EP QAS.
Do you see any problem with above steps?
Is this procedure safe?
I'll give points! Thanks!
export /import roles
1. Go to System Administrator
2. Go to Transport link
3. Create Transport Package from Source Server Export Editor
4. Select Objects for Export
Open the object (Transport Package) for editing.
Add all required Role in the object
Click on to Export button
5. Export Selected Objects to .epa file
After clicking Export Button file name is automatically generated
Click on Start Export button
6. Download Export File
7. Save .epa file in your hard drive
8. Select .epa file on Destination Server Import Editor

Hi Laura,
Importing/Exporting of Users and Roles have no threats because the password will not be attached with the exporting data.
Hope it helps!
Thanks,
Vijay
