Standard Set of Books and Set of Books default in Reports

Here is the situation: in the initial tenant a Company has been acitvated and 2 set of books has been assigend. One set of books has been flagged as Standard. As result in some Reports, the Standard Set of Books has been populated as Default. Hence when starting the Report out of a Business document like the Project Overview always the initally as Standard maintained set of books triggers the data shown in the Report.

Now a new Company has been activated and the 2 existings set of books has been assigned plus a third one. The new, additional Set of Books has been flagged as Standard. 1st of all when looking into some Reports out of the WorkCenter Business Analytics the new, additional set of books is not selectable at all. When starting Reports e.g. out of the Project Overview, for the new Company, the Default for set of books is not the Standard. Instead the set of books which has been flagged first in the tenant is pulled (the Standard set of books is not dervied by the Company).

I wonder if and how this Kind of System behaviour can be changed or if there is an in Detail documentation about this Topic.

    Sebastian,

    Have you activated the financial year and for the new set of books that are not visible in BA work center?

    Your second issue, I would suggest this may be because of the user access of the person running the reports?

    In a multi-company environment a employee/user can only exist in one company/org unit. This would be their "default" view.

    If you are testing these reports as a service agent I would suggest testing as an employee for each company.

    ensure that you have access to that company's financial data first by checking access restrictions through Application & User management too,

    Hi John,

    unfortunatley it is not driven by the user. We found a different solution and defined an additional Set of Books for the reportings mentioned. We called the addtional Set of books "Controlling area" and defined it as standar, hence users running embedded reports see all the time valuations based on this Standard. However the financial accountants not using embedded reports can Switch the set of books.
