Using of Planning cycle

0 Kudos

Hi all,

I've have a problem with the purchasing planning.

I have two issue to fix:

1) Each vendor has a specific day of week for deliveries;

2) I check what I need to order each first Wednesday of the month.

I solved the first point using a correct Lot size procedure and creating a planning calendar for each vendor.

But I can't solved the second point. The aim should be to anticipate all the order start (PLAF-PSTTR) of the planned order to the first Wednesday of the month. I tried using the field Planning cycle in master data (MARC-LFRHY), using a correct planning calendar (monthly week days calculation rule), but it seems that the order start is not influenced by this setting.

Could you help me solving this problem?

I understood that the problem is in the field Inter.of events, which I need to set on (1) Delivery date due to use Planning calendar to set the delivery date by vendor.

It seems that if you set (1) Delivery date in this field, you need to set initial value in the field Scheduling

Hello,

it doesn't work. System doesn't let me to set Period start = Delivery date(1). It gives me the message that there is a invalid value in field

LotSizeProced, where I sat (P) Period lot-sizing procedure to use the planning vendor calendare (to solve the problem of vender's deliveries days, point 1).

However I tried with all the three option in LotSizeProced, so (S) Static lot-sizing procedure, (P) Period lot-sizing procedure, (O) Optimum lot-sizing procedure, but it always says that the value is not allowed. It seems that I never can set up Period start = Delivery date(1).

Any other ideas?

Hello,

Yes, you need to use Period start = Delivery date(1)

Putting this indicator, the procurement proposal will be created on period start of the month.

Hello!

Thanks for the quick reply. I need to set up it in customizing, so I have to wait till tomorrow to perform the setting.

However I can choose through the following options:

Blank: Requirements date := delivery date ;

1: Period start := delivery date ;

2: Period end := delivery date;

3: Period start := start and period end := delivery date ;

4: Period start := start date

Are you suggesting to choose 1: Period start := delivery date ?

Hello,

You need to check the lot size configuration where there is scheduling indicator.

  • to be set to the first requirements date in the period
  • to be set to the beginning of the period
  • to be set to the end of the period

You need to opt for the first option. please test and confirm back
