SAP CAL instance

We set up a new Sal Cal instance on Friday 21st July. Everything was set up fine but now the instance is undefined. We tried reboot but nothing happened. See attachment below.

Another concern I have is everytime we leave an instance we suspend it and the charge for the month is 35.40 for the month when suspended. Sometimes this defaults to 2,540 which means it is charging us full price even though we leave in suspend state. Why would this be the case.

Hello David,

The information about your failed provisioning that we found in the logs is related to unsupported VM size in the availability zone that you have chosen.

Operation Start failed on step Create virtual machine
with message: AMAZON : Your requested instance type (m3.xlarge Windows) is not
supported in your requested Availability Zone (us-east-1a). Please retry your
request by not specifying an Availability Zone or choosing us-east-1c,
us-east-1d, us-east-1b, us-east-1e

The error message suggests to start a new instance without specifying an availability zone or by specifying one that supports this VM size.

Thanks Atanas.

Is there any way to change the availability zone without creating a new instance. As we have code in this instance we would lose.

Also would this have anything to do with Remote IP addresses not getting through due to the wifi we are currently on.

Hello,

You may cleanup some resources into this region and try again. There is no way to specify the availability zone during instance creation, it is automatically provided.

Best Regards
