PR Close issue

Hi MM Techies,

I am supporting a Project. Where the User Requirement is like below..

Help me out in giving solution.

I have created a PR , say with 10 line items.

The PR has got the release procedure. After final release only it will allow to create a PO.

Once final release is over for PR, the PR creator will have only display access for that PR. There is No authorization for change.

After doing PO and GR for 5 line items of the PR out of 10 line items. the PR creator realises there is no demand of other 5 line items , which are pending for PO creation.. reason may be like cancelation of customer order.. etc

Then how should the PR creator can close the PR.

Please note this point , Once final release is over for PR, the PR creator will have only display access for that PR. There is No authorization for change.

Due to that he can't chose the indicator closed in item level tab quantities/dates, aslo he can't block in item level tab status.

Like this there may be more than 1000 of PO's.

Tell me if any program should be written in case it is not possible in standard.

Valuable answers and awarded with suitable points

Thanks & Best Regards

Girisha M S

    Hi,

you should set up the screen control ( using the field selection ref key on the release indicator config) so that the ONLY field open for input when the req is released, is the "close PR" field.

    Hi,

Try using Mass Update for the Purchase requisitions, This is a wild guess, in case if the user has authorizations for the mass updation, then this can be done with out going to ME52N.

    Just make a try.

      HI,

It seems like you are asking for the impossible, you say that you want the P req blocked for input when it has been released (this is easy enough). But you are alos saying that you want the same user to be abble to close the P req.

I have suggested a field selection key that stops all fields being changed APART from the closed indicator and yet you are saying that this does not do what you need???

Why does this not do what you need? the user cannot change anything except the closed flag.

    Hi Girisha

    Use PR mass maintenace ,,,

Change the remaining items quantity to zero.

The PR will be considered as closed. and u can find this PO in closed PR report.
