Retreiving description at domain level

Hi,

I`m creating a custom infotype and for one of the fields , I do have to select values through F4 help. On selection of the value, the description is to appear next to the field.

The value for this field and its description is stored at domain level.

In create mode, I do get the description coming up on the screen using the FM 'AM_READ_TEXT_ON_DOMAIN_VALUE'. But when I save it and then try to display information for this infotype, then I find that the description does not appear on the screen.

Can anyone help out regarding this.

Have you got any error message during Activation.

Nope.. I`ve not got any error while activation.

And I`m able to see teh values in the create screen of the infotype.

Once I save the data and then open the screen in display mode or edit mode, I find that the value is lost.

Do I need to store the description also on the PA**** for this functionality?

Hi,

The screen number is all the same, only the status would vary as "MOD' for change mode and 'DIS' for display mode, if I`m right.

In change mode, I do get the description only when I press Enter on the Codevalue field.

Is there any way where I can get it fetched once I launch the Edit /Display screen?
