Index FR2 - Table FRET

Dear Experts,

we are facing a performance and locking problem on our IS-Retail system and more specific when we are running WA08 to create subsequent documents through Allocation Tables.

In many cases when two ore more users execute this transaction we are facing locking problem - ENQUEUE Excl(Cumulative) AUKO 200$$$$$$$$$$ -

We found that there is the index FR2 on table FRET which is not activated in Database and we also show that the locking is last so much time exactly at the point of select on this table.

Does anyone faced this situation in the past ?

Is it safe to activate this index?

We have the same behavior. We were able to reduce the times by ejecting the process in the background and / or with parallel processes.

Hi George,

You can also look at activating the index as this will improve performance while querying the table.

Please do this off business hours.

1. Call transaction SE14.
2. Enter the name of the table and choose "Edit".
3. Choose "Indexes".
4. Select the index and choose "Choose (F2)".
5. If you choose "Activate and adjust", the system creates the index again and it is consistent.
6. Check the object log of this activation.
7. If an error occurs, eliminate the cause and reactivate the index.
