LSMW

Hi all, using lsmw or bdc while migrating the data from legacy system into sap what if there is no data for few mandatory fields in a certain transaction, please tell me the process.

    hi jone,

    u can do one thing u can remove those records in the input file which there is no value for a particular record which are required, r else u can do one more thing u can discuss ur funtional guy telling that plz make that field OPTIONAL once it uploads just make it as it is .

    except this there is no option as of my knowledge.

    findout answer in ur question itself , u only saying mandtory fields if there is no value for a particular mandatory field how it can upload it can not be ,

    so plz follow the above message, let me know if any thing else

    In that case..

    that particular record will not be sent to R/3.

    if lsmw find any error while transporting the data from legacy system to sap it transfer the upto the error data,but after that it wont transfer the data including that error line.
