Regarding Access KEy

Hi All,

I don't know where to post my query.

I am a functional Consultant. I installed SAP 4.6 b recently. When I used to practice ABAP i.e. I am trying to create a test program it is asking for the Access Key. How to generate the access key. Please don't suggest SAP Market place as these dvds are not licensed one.

The standard place to get the keys is:

http://service.sap.com -> SAP SUPPORT PORTAL -> Keys & Requests -> SCCR Keys -> Registration. Here u can register a DEVELOPER or an OBJECT, by this time SAP will give the ACCESS KEYS.

However if you a special version of SAP it should have instructions to obtain the key.

When you extend your MINISAP license key for the first time in ABAP environment, you will also need a developer key when you try to change a repository object in the workbench. Enter: 29671482393151224771.

SAP access key is manadatory to change the original object/table, SMP is the only place which will generate the access key of object with the valid installation,

1) System must be registered with the installation number

2) ABAPER must be register on the SMP to have access key of ABAPER.

then access key will be generate against of developer and valid system.

Hi All,

But I heard that there will be one universla access key that can be use by anyone for non licensed versions. Whatever you are telling is correct, but what about then about installing outside?

So could you please help me eith the universal access key if u have I will award you points for you great help...

Hi kiran

SAP is very strong regarding the license, when you have license of ERP then you will have an installation number and S-User-ID, then you can register your system and developer on SMP, you can also register the many object to get the access key.
