hi all

1. The grant date for the LTI plan shows up in infotype 761,where can we configure the grant date for the LTI plans in IMG?

2. similarly the grant number, where do we define that? how does that come in infotype 761.

3. there is unique id field in infotype 762 LTI exercising,

this unique id is it defined in IMG(where?) or else this ID comes from the banking interface, i mean does the bank or broker assign this ID

any thoughts are welcome and rewarded

thanks

For 1 & 2 pl check the following IMG path

Personnel Management>ECM>LTI PLans

3. You have to<a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp2005vp/helpdata/en/ed/11f7fd7fa2cb4891d15c5b37018930/frameset.htm">Import Grant Exercising Data</a> using the SAP Business Connector.

thanks suresh for the quick reply

well, i have gone through the LTI plans section in the IMG, but i could not find where i can enter the grant number and grant date

but upon reading the material i came across one thing which shows that '' the grant date will be the begin date of the infotype record 761''

similarly the end date will be the end of the infotype record 761

but i have defined a date in the ''exercise windows'' given both start date and end date

so upon creating the 761 manually i can see the grant date which i have defined.

whereas the grant number shows up as 01(assuming since it is 1st record it is showing that way, if it is 2nd record then it will show 02)

but i thought this is the exercise date not the grant date

exercise date can be different than grant date right(correct me if i am wrong)

finally all the other reports like the IMPORT EXCERCISING DATA,EXPORT EXERCISING DATA etc are not available in the standard LTI reports in ECM we are in version ECC6

i was told sometime that these standard functionality is disabled, so do we have to go for a custom one.

I can see both the reports RHECM_EXERCISE_IDOC_IN & RHECM_PARTICIPANT_IDOC_OUT on my ERP6.0 sandbox.. we don't use this functionality in our ECM , os I cannot really say for sure whether it works or not..

i tried to execute in se38

got the message ''FUNCTIONALITY NOT SUPPORTED IN STANDARD''

for all the import and export IDOCS.

but regarding the grant number and grant date

do you think my assumptions are right?

thanks

Yes.. I got the same error too & OCC Note # 889056 should have more details about this functionality..

Your assumations are correct.. Grant Number is just a sequence number to differentiate between the records.

Exercise Date (Infotype 0762) will be the Vesting date ie the date on which the employee exercises the Grant whereas the Grant Dtate( Infotype 0761 ) is the date on which the employee is granted the LTI.. the exercise date depends on the LTI Rules and will usually be way after the Grant Date.. (unless the LTI Rule permits immediate Vesting)..

so finally

when the infotype 759 is activated for LTI plan

then 761 is created for all the eligible employees

then the day this 761 is created that will be the grant date then?(correct me if wrong)

YES.. you are correct.. Grant Date on 0761( that gets generated when you activate 0759 via PECM_CHANGE_STATUS ) will be the effective date on 0759 for the corresponding LTI Plan.

thanks suresh

i have another question which looks quite strange

even when ECM switch is not activated, i could still create the compensation program records and process records

also i could do the same at the infotype level manually also

what could be the reason for this

i had similar scenario sometime ago but did not concentrate on it cause it did not effect anywhere that i ahve noticed.
