Project scenario

Dear Friends,

Please go through the following scenario.

Multilevel Bill of Materials are there. For many operations , 2 options are there 1. Can be carried out inhouse 2. Can be subcontracted

My client also want to track qty. pending with subcontractor.

My plan--

As there is requirement of tracking qty. available with subcotractor, I will create Mat. code for Intermediate product (Mat. received after subcontracting). I will use sp. procurement "Subcontracting" , so the system will create Plan order ->Pur. req. for this Intermediate Mat. (system will also allocate RMs from BOM -- required for that operation to pur. req.).

If subcontracting is not required (if manpower is available) , MRP controller will not convert Plan order to Pur. req. , he will simply give print of plan order along with prod. order of Main prod. to production department so that production person can post goods issue in prod. order of main product for material in plan order (required for that operation ).

Will it work properly? Any other suggestion?
