Hi,

Network profile consists of all parameters for project such as control details-Costing sheet, costing variant, organization structure details etc.

Based on the project, network profiles will be defined.

Morever these parameters need n't be defined while creating network as this would be configured. Scheduling / procurement will take place from network.

Hi Rakesh,

Can we have specific WBS user status profile and Network profile for specific projects ?

I have below scenario..

1. I have created WBS user status prof and assigned it to project prof X , its working fine for Project definition and WBS element level.

2.When i create the N/W and activities, it fetches the profile maintained for that order type in network profile

The problem is if we assign new status profile to order type then old project will have impact of this.

Do i need to create new order type ?

If so, what configuration needs to be performed to create new order type ?

Hi,

In order to create a network, network profile and network type should be defined in advance.

1. The network profile contains default values and parameters for controlling the processing of networks, such as control keys for activities.

The data which you enter in the network profile is copied into the header, activities, and activity elements when you create a network.

2. Every network you create must have a network type allocated to it.

The network type determines:

a) order category

b) whether the network is used for planning

c) default value for the settlement profile

d) default value for a status profile, if you want to use the user status in status management

e) allocation of the network type to a number range

3. You enter more specific network type information (eg. default settlement rule, costing variant) plant wise in 'parameters for network type'.
