Difference custom field context product and interaction product

What is the difference in the Custom Fields contexts "Marketing: Product" (ZZ1_xxx_MPR) and "Marketing: Interaction Product" (ZZ1_xxx_MIP)?

I notice the first gets stored in CUAND_PROD_ROOT and the second in CUAND_CE_IA_PROD. But what is the use case of each?

    Hi Joyca,

    In case your field is added as part of "Marketing: Product" context then it becomes a master data whereas field added as part of "Marketing: Interaction Product" remains Interaction(Transactional Data). So any information about product which you want to be Interaction Specific then field should be added with "Marketing: Interaction Product" context.

    So business case could be a scenario where SAP CRM Service is being used with Hybris Marketing and data from CRM will be used for segmentation in Marketing system. Let say if a field is added for the Service Product "Used Last Time" which donot make any sense if added as Master Data field. Hence in that case this information will be stored in Hybris Marketing Inetraction product level and can be changed per interaction.
