3.x infopackages unavailable in process chains in BI NW2004s

Dear SAP-experts,

I created a process chain in BI NW2004s (SP13), but now I want to include a 3.x infopackage. I select the process type "Execute infopackage" and try to select my infopackage via the input help, but I get the message "No values found" - even though the infopackage I want to select exists.

One workaround is to create a process chain starting from the infopackage, but then I can only create a new process chain, so in the end I would get a separate process chain per infopackage, which is not maintenance-friendly.

Can anybody inform me why I cannot select my infopackages to be executed in the process chain?
