roles getting from R3 system error?

hi,

here an issue like while i am trying to get R3 roles to EP 6.0 sp18,

i read this doc also.

The link has detailed procedure for role upload.

i tried like this :

1) created SAP_R3 system object with full autharigation support in administrator with system alias.

2) using ep6.0 sp18 and backend system is SAP_R3 , 4.7 kernal 6.40, 620 series.

3)installed ep plugin to the R3 system

4) ITS, WAS sytem parameters not given, but able to access R3 system. by using connector properties--SID, sytem type, sysytem number, client.IP,gateway service, Port number, of the R3 system, details given.

5) user management type of logon method is uid, pwd, as admin, user.

6)user mapping assigned , permisions given to system

7) able to create and access transasction iview by using above connected R3

system.

NOw issue is : i cant able to get roles from backend system directly---

~~-> System administrator~~ >Transport-->role upload

there when i try to search for roles of the backend system i could not able to get the list of roles ...

error is :

Could not perform action. Check the role migration log for additional information.

1) Select the objects that you want to upload from the ABAP-based SAP component system to SAP NetWeaver Portal. Then choose "Next" to define the upload settings and start the upload process.

You can also load a preconfigured template containing the objects that should be uploaded as well as the upload settings.

2) some times like this as follows:

Connection to SAP component system failed. Check the system settings.

i appreciate really where exactly the problem..

if any body give the e-mail id then i ill send error screens if require.

i read sdn doc of role upload from r3 doc also..for ep6.0
