exporting / importing the Enhancement (or the project?)

Hi!

is it possible to perform exporting / importing of the Enhancement from one system to other? Systems are not connecting, so no TRs are possible...

Probably need to export / import the whole Z project (is it possible?), because Z project contains the enhancement which contains FMs, Funtion codes and screen areas..

Will reward,

Mindaugas.

systems are not connected, so probably not possible to transport... that is why I try to find out how to transfer the enhancement from one system to other... do you know how?

if it is not possible to export / import the Enhancement, maybe anyone knows how to transfer it manually?

One more strange thing: tcode SMOD does not have Create button in our version of SAP, were added two more buttons instead Create button (Migrate and Migr.Reset).

So how to create the enhancement? Maybe tcode SMOD is not the right one in this case any more?

You can not import /export manually ,you need to transport using SE10 Transaction..

when you create project at CMOD ,it will ask Package,Request,so save under one request,move the request from dev to qa using SE10 Transaction

SMOD will not have create button,SMOD is applicable for only to find out the enhancement.

you need to cmod to create project and assign enhancement.

thanks for reply, Seshu, but in my case systems are not connected, in fact it is transfering from Prod to Dev (special case), so no transport request is available between Prod and Dev...

That is why I would like to know how to do it manually. Of course I will assign Enhancement to some TR when creating it in Dev server.

Full sequence of systems is this:

Prod1 -> Dev2 -> Qual2 -> Prod2

So I need to take Enhancement from Prod1 and create it in Dev2, after transport to Qual2 and Prod2.

Well,manually export/import is not possible from production to quality ,quality to Developement in case if you need SMOD/CMOD.

In my system,configuration made from dev to qa ,qa to production,so changes will not make in QA,Production ( We set up like this).

so if you need transport from production to quality ,then basis guy will set up,so that changes will done in production and move to Quality .

For more information,try to talk with basis or post into basis forums.

Thanks

in my SAP system chain is the same as in yours: dev to qa, qa to prod.

But I need to take this enhancement from other SAP system and to put in our SAP system, that is why I said that no TR is available, I was meaning that there is no TR between our SAP system and this "other" SAP system...

will try to explain better: there are 2 Prod systems: Prod1 and Prod2.

My task is to transfer enhancement from Prod2 to Prod1.

That is why the sequence of systems is like this:

Prod2 -> Dev1 -> Qual1 -> Prod1

But only in this case, because our system is usuall:

Dev1 -> Qual1 -> Prod1

thanks for links.

In fact I need simple help with creating an enhancement, because I have never done it before... I doubt if basis guys would connect two systems just for one enhancement...

If it is not possible to export / import it, I would transfer it manually, no problem here, just need some simple steps for this.

Thanks once again.
