Hi...

There are many threads on process chain creation where you can get help on creating process chains.

For your case:

drag the infopackagepress f4>select your infopackage from list-->save

now try to connect them-->(put mouse on start process single click and drag it to you infopackage process type- and you will find them connected by dark black line.)

But same thing if you do while connecting two process types like and infopackage to DTP etc ,you will view various options:

successfull

errors

always

based on various dependencies select the correct option .If the two subsequent processess are dependent then select successful,if dependency is only for execution and not about success or failure..select always..etc.

Hi Aswin,

Process chains are nothing but.. just backgrond jobs (data loadings) running automatically..

for example...when you want to load the data in daily base...that time.. in daily no need to do manually.. .. you can put all data loading process in one chain(process chain) and in start variant if you scheduled the time.. every 24 hours means.. it will execute the process chain at daily base.. and data will load automatically..

so, Start Variants are mainly used to set the time for particular time. your chain shoul be executed... like that..

planned view is nothing but.. to move ur chain from execute mode to creation or change mode...so, you just select that start variant.. by using mouse(click on.. drag a link to Infopackage.. process...

there you need to select (Sussessfull or Always button and press ok..)

thanks
