Plan Version

Hello guys,

We have the HR Module and the Plan Version Active is 01, but for a specific Workflow we need to build a new structure organizational, so In Transaction PPOCW we are going to create using Plan Version = 03.

We don't want "to mix" the Real structure with Workflow structure, so the Plan Version shouldn't be 01.

First question: Could I create another Plan Version?

When I try to assign an object of new structure in a Workflow Step, I can't see my structure organizational, only the HR, because the Plan Version 01 is active in system and my structure is using 03.

Second question: Could I activate a separated Plan Version only by Workflow? If not, How can I use my structure?

You can have one active plan version for HR and another one for WF. Not sure where you set it up, but perhaps your HR people know. In any case it - i.e. the workflow-specific plan version - is stored in table T77S0 with key PLOGI, WORKF (see function module RH_GET_ACTIVE_WF_PLVAR).

However, why would you want the hassle of maintaining two organisation structures? If you define a different plan variant for workflow, all the SAP standard rules will (<u>should</u>) also use this.

Transaction PSO0 can be used to select the Plan Variant for which you wish to maintain data. Hmmmm.... I just tested it and it actually changes the active plan variant for HR. (function module RH_GET_PLVAR) I suppose you will then have to change the variant you maintain data for to 03, perform your maintenance, and <u>don't forget to switch back to 01 again</u> with PSO0 after the data maintenance has been done.

You say that this requirement is for a specific workflow. You can build your own rule to determine agents, and call the appropriate evaluation functions (e.g RH_STRUC_GET) with Plan Variant specified as 03.

Hi,

u can use only active plan version in Workflow. u can use another root orgunit with your structure, or custom table for example.

Always remember : Only one of the plan versions created in the system can be active.
