Hello Experts,

When I am trying to create a HALB & FERT material, I get the below error message.

Could you please help...

The Field CW profile for CW Quantity is defined as a required field; it does not contain any value.

Msg MG144.

Regards

Anamika

The message is self explaining, so what it is the actual problem? Don't you find those fields?

They should be in the EWM tab.

you might also want to check for OSS notes to get some more background on those fields, e.g. search with the keyword CWQPROC

go through the OSS notes. Check your field selection customizing.

in OMS2, the only WM tab is selected and I have maintained the base unit as EA and WM unit as PC. Still the issue persist.

OMS2 is not about field selection - it is material type definition.

in OMS2 only we will decide views to be maintained right.. correct me if I am wrong. I could not find any field which is relevant to CW profile. And also i found the field CWQPROC in MARA table. As there is no EWM view to be maintained while creation I have created this query.

And also can you please provide some input on the CW profile..

if you don't have access to the SAP notes then ask your supervisor to get access or have your colleagues do the search for you. It is often not possible to deliver a work at the expected quality level if the access to the most valuable source of information is restricted.

the customizing of the material master field selection can be found in the IMG under Logistics General > Material master > field selection ....

in OMS9 for MM01 field reference the field CWQPROC was maintained as "required" entry where as for the FERT field reference field was maintained as "Optional". Now I have changed that to optional and it worked.

Thank you so much for your help. much appreciate it :)
