Catalog Procedure vs. Repository Procedure

Hi Experts,

What is the difference between a catalog and repository procedure. How are they created? Are both to still used?

I know that one creates from Modeler perspective in SAP HANA studio, but not sure which is which. What is the intention of having two kinds of procedure?

Found this thread, but what was the intention of Catalog procedure if can not be transported,is it SAP internal use only?
