qustion about some concepts

Hi all

I m learning S.M now, but some concepts I can not understand and did not find relevant information.

I m trying to set up business process monitoring. In the SMO: Business process Management, SM give some monitoring types as choices, somthing like: application monitoring, due list log,application log, and so on. what do these mean?

It seems that SM has only some restricted predefined tools to watch the business process. Can these tools realy satisfy the need of monitoring of the business process?

If some one has related experiences, pl tell me.

Have you already checked the information in SAP Support Portal at

The Media Library contains lots of information.
