I would like to encourage you to use only FQDN. The SLD url should contain the FQDN, not just the host.
Please remove the host name from the hosts file. What will happen when the NWDS is not in this virtual network? Most probably the connection will not be possible.
In addition according to the 2nd screenshot it seems like to NWDS is off-line. Are you able to execute ping in other way (f.e. from the O.S. console)? If indeed the NWDS is off-line it will not be able to connect to the SLD.
With this settings it might be confirmed that:
1. indeed the SLD is on this host. Yet, only FQDN should be set.
2. there are no firewalls that block the communication on port 50000 .

You can set the SLD in the "Preferences"--> "System Landscape Directory" and you can ping it there also. I would suggest that double check your settings in the right place in NWDS and provide the FQDN.
