Cannot import tracks from NWDI to NWDS

Hi All,

I am having a problem importing tracks from NWDI. We are able to successfully ping the SLD server and the account used is mapped with NWDI Developer and Admin roles. However, we are getting errors like below.

I would like to encourage you to use only FQDN. The SLD url should contain the FQDN, not just the host.

Please remove the host name from the hosts file. What will happen when the NWDS is not in this virtual network? Most probably the connection will not be possible.

In addition according to the 2nd screenshot it seems like to NWDS is off-line. Are you able to execute ping in other way (f.e. from the O.S. console)? If indeed the NWDS is off-line it will not be able to connect to the SLD.

With this settings it might be confirmed that:

1. indeed the SLD is on this host. Yet, only FQDN should be set.

2. there are no firewalls that block the communication on port 50000 .

Hi Alven,

You can set the SLD in the "Preferences"--> "System Landscape Directory" and you can ping it there also. I would suggest that double check your settings in the right place in NWDS and provide the FQDN.

Hi Szabolcs,

I am using NWDS 7.0. I also tried tried pinging the SLD and it was successful . see image below.

However, when I tried importing the tracks. It prompts another error. See below.

I also changed the host file. However we are still getting errors above.

Alven

Hi Szabolcs,

That is correct. We are in one team and we are still facing the error. We are new to the lasndscape where SLD and NWDI is in different servers. Do you think there things we are still missing?

Alven
