Create ERP sales order as a follow up to CRM Service request

Hi CRM Experts,

We have an requirement to create ERP sales orders as a follow up from CRM service request based on the categories given in the request. We are working on CRM version 7.0. Please note that the ERP orders are not defined within CRM system. We use LORD framework to create such orders in CRM. Due to this fact we won't be able to use copy control options to enable creation of ERP orders as a follow up document.

Kindly suggest if there are any ways to implement a solution.

Regards,

Vignesh

ERP sales order can be created from Opportunity at this moment.

I understand you may need to create sales order from the service request, say, the customer simply calls and asks for a Windows installation CD.

You may create a crm sales order as the follow up of service request by action for example, and the copy routine will be available for it. once the sales order is saved, in dialog or batch, it will be replicated to erp automatically.

I would suggest this design and every step is supported by standard functionality, thus if you have any errors or find any bug, it is supported by sap support.

If you insist develop your own codes to create erp sales order from service request, it will not be supported.

    Hi Vignesh,
May I know why do you want to create ERP sales order from "servcie request"? There is no Cross-system Copy Control for service request. But you can create ERP Quotations and Sales Orders as Follow-Up Transactions from a CRM Opportunity.

    Please refer to following link:
    1. see "Creating ERP Quotations and Sales Orders as Follow-Up Transactions from a CRM Opportunity"in following sap help link: https://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm70/helpdata/EN/47/463fc2b61c1a41e10000000a1553f7/frameset.htm

    2. Please read KBA 1606107 - Creation of follow up ERP quotations from opportunities not working

    Best Regards, Bruce
