Hi Team,

We would like to extract report from Admin UI to check how many Windows laptop users having the latest Afaria Client.

Is there way to extract the report ?

VP

Hi VP,

You can export a report in following KBA.

2098565 - How to export Afaria device inventory data

By the way, I have created The Custom View for iOS.
for example:
iOS.Device.Device name
iOS.Software.Version
iOS.Software.Name
iOS.Software.iOS version
......
......

Result
Device name -> iPhone6
Version -> 6.60.8103.0
Name -> Afaria
iOS version -> 9.1

You must create the Custom View for Windows.

Thanks,
Atsushi

Hi VP,

I know about that well.
You can create the Custom View with a necessary item.

For example...

Data Field:
Windows.Computer.Device.Name
Windows.Software.Name
Windows.Software.Version

Thanks,
Atsushi

Thanks for update.

I created this custom view, but i do not find anything here in this data field. All devices Software Name and version are empty. So is there any other way to get the installed Afaria CLient version report ? or by database ?

Please suggest.

Hi VP,

Is Windows that you use version 7? In this case, please try following KBA.

Thanks for the update.

Once we created will end user get prompt on collecting the laptop Inventory details ? Is there any impact in performance ? Do we need to link that config policy to ALL device and Dynamic Groups ?

Hi,

> Once we created will end user get prompt on collecting the laptop Inventory details ?
I don't really remember that.

> Is there any impact in performance ?
I think that performance does not have the influence.
When you are anxious about the performance, please refer to following KBA.
2184227 - What are the best practices for load testing an Afaria server?

> Do we need to link that config policy to ALL device and Dynamic Groups ?
That differs depending on how to use. I think that you should create the group of the device that information is necessary.

In any case, you should give enough tests.

Thanks,
Atsushi
