Hi Expert,

we have recently upgraded Bi4.1 Sp3 to Bi4.2 Sp3. we found out when refreshing a report that occurs Ora-12609: TNS: Receive timeout occurred error. I have increased sqlnet.lss1 below params:

SQLNET.SEND_TIMEOUT = 7200
SQLNET.RECV_TIMEOUT = 7200
SQLNET.INBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT = 7200
SQLNET.OUTBOUND_CONNECT_TIMEOUT = 7200
TCP.CONNECT_TIMEOUT = 7200

and also increased WebIntelligenceProcessingServer below settings:

Timeout Before Recycling to 7200,

Idle Document Timeout to 7200,

Server Polling Interval to 7200. but the problem is still there. also SAP support is not aware of this issue. I've logged the ticket, but they don't know why. I've attached the screenshot.

Thanks in advance,

Youqin

Does this work from the universe? In the 4.2 version is a refresh structure performed without error?

Confirm that the Oracle Client is installed in 32 bit on universe and also the 64 bit version in the server.

Also make sure environmental variables are set correctly for

ORACLE_HOME I have a wiki page here that demonstrates configuration:

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. The report can be refreshed on BI4.1 SP3. and only this report has the issue in BI4.2 SP3. other reports with oracle connection are all working fine in BI4.2 SP3.

Thanks very much,

Youqin
