In this issue the personnel already having numbers in legacy data, so the same numbers we need to upload into DEV system.

But we defined the same number range as internal in the DEV system and used to test some dummy data.

So if we need to take same numbers as external, is it required to delete dummy persoonnel numbers and then change as external.

Pls let me know bcs I have dummy pernrs in the same number range upto 103.

Pls advise asap.

Thanks for ur quick replys,

YES.. you have to delete the dummy pernrs.. Use the Std report RPUDELPN and delete them.

If you are loading the hiring data.. the pernrs do not exist in the system.. so the question of identification doesn't arise.. the system generates a new PERNR for each 0000 record that is created via your BDC.

Dear Lakshmi,

Check in IMG under

Personal Management -> Personal Administration -> Mainatain Number Range Intervals for Personal Numbers

Check the number range assignment is internal or external.

You should not pass number for personal number if it is internal number range.

Naveen.

Are you passing the PERNR in your BDC? If your Number Range is internal you should let the system generate the PERNR.
