error in creating process order

hi folks,

we encounter this problem when creating a process order which we havent encounter before.it says that "no default value is maintained for operation generation for order type PI01". please guide me with this.thank you all.

Allan,

In transaction "OPJG" you need to maintain default values for creating operation in case the system is unable to find a suitable master recipe. You need to maintain this for Plant/Order type combination.

If a master recipe exists for the material then look at the validity of the same for the process order created.

Check whether the following parameters of the recipe meet the requirements of the process order.

1. Lotsize

2. Validity period

3.Status and Usage.

Hi Allan,

1. The master receipe for your materil is exist or not?check it

2. If it is exist then check its validity , lot size and wheather it is released for production, and its usage

3.If you are not using any master receipe then you have to maintain default operation in SPRO aas per t code suggested by Mr Prashobo,
