Scheduling a Lyophilizator

Lot of you would already be aware that a Lyophilizator in the Pharma world is a refrigerator type of dry freezing machine used to take the water content out of the powdered medicines.

These machines normally have the following restrictions to be considered in PPDS while scheduling 'em -

  1. Based on the sizes of the vials/bottles of the products are being put into the machine, the # of cases accommodated in 'em can vary. Question - how could we map this in SAP, at a Recipe level. On Resources, we could have storage char's activated (category 0015 or 012) & use the UoM = CV (cases) but that makes it resource specific, not Product specific. We've also tried the Block Planned resource, where we could maintain a conversion time (from time units to lets say, cases (CV))
  2. 2nd item looks more data - due to regulatory restrictions, 2 Products cannot be loaded into this machine at the same given time (they can be loaded onto the same machine independently).

Anyone handled such requirements within standard SAP, while scheduling orders in PPDS?
