new tag in tx COMMPR01 (CRM)

Hi !! I have to create a new tag in tx COMMPR01 when modifiing for example a material. this tag will only have some display fields, they won't be modified.

I don't know in which Enhancement (tx smod) i have to do it..

Can anyone help me please ??

Hi Maria,

To create a new tab in the product master (commpr01), create views.

SAP Implementation Guide>Cross-Application Components>SAP Product->Settings for Product Maintenance->Define Views

Just maintain an entry here for the new tab.

Go to transaction COMM_HIERARCHY, Choose the required hierarchy and category and here while assigning settypes, choose your View ID,hence those settypes will only be visible in your tab.

mmmm i think i haven't understand... or maybe i have explained my problem in the wrong way...

in tx COMMPR01 i select a material and the tags i see are: General, Material, Sales and Distribution, Conditions, Documents, Purchasing.

Well, what i have to do is implement a new tag (called "new data" or whatever) and there i have to shoy some extra data for this material.

The solution you gave me will solve my problem ??

Hi Maria,

1. To implement a new tag you need to create a new VIew as explained earlier.

2. To Create new fields you need to create settypes and attribures (Tcode: COMM_ATTRSET)

3. Than create a new hierarchy and category (Tcode: COMM_HIERARCHY) .Assign the above settypes to it, and also specify the view(tag) where you wish to see it.

4. In COMMPR01 assign the hierarchy and category, and you will be able to see the new fields in the new tab.

Hi Maria,

1. Go to transcation COMMPR01.

2. In case you wish to assign hierarchy /category to an existing product-- Open the product. In the general tab assign the Hierarchy Id and the category Id.

3. If you wish to create a new product, click on the Product type, and their itself it asks you for the category.Assign it. In case you wish to assign more, than go to the general tab and assign.

Hi Maria,

You can assign the hierarchy and category to product in transaction COMMPR01.

In the Very first screen i.e. tab 'SAP Basic Data'

You have area named 'Product Categories'.

In this table view, in the end you can add new category/ hierarchy to the product data. Accordingly new tab will be visible in your product master.

I've done it, but i still have another question.. if i do that, whenever a user wants to creat or view or modify a product, if he wants to see this new tag he has to assign it. So it's not an "automatic" modification ?? i mean, when i execute tx COMMPR01 this new tag won't be visible unless the user assigns it to an specfic product, isn't it ??

It's not the same as when i create a new tag in R/3 for example to tx. ME23N..

Hi Maria,

To make it visible for all the products without manual assignement assign your settype to the default hierarchy/category(along with the view). For Eg. R3PRODSTYP.

To check the default hierarchy check out the transcation COMM_PRAPPLCAT.

see what has been assigned to the product types(second level).

Hi Maria,

For this you need to make it default heirearchy. Which must be R3PRODSTYP at present in your system.

Thus to do the same, execute transaction COMM_PRAPPLCAT. Change the default heirarchy assigned to type Product to your defined heirarchy.

i'm still with this problem.. i need to show some more information in a new tag i ntx. COMMPR01. This information is the following: i have to show all information showed in tx. MMBE (from R/3). Can i do that ?? i mean.. ading a new tag to show a table control or ALV with R/3 data ???
