basic concept

Hi Experts,

What is the use of link tables in CRM?

For example, I am having a item-header(CRMM_PRPADM_H) table whose GUID is the parent GUID in item-item table(CRMM_PRPADM_I). The GUID of the item-item table is the parent GUID of the item-product link table(CRMM_PRP_PROD_) and the GUID of the link table is inturn is the product id of the product master(COMM_PRODUCT table.

Why can't we directly map the item GUID to the product master table?

Why we need a product-item link table in between? What is its significance?

Regards,

Sangeeta.

    Hi Sangeeta,

Link table connects all the transaction detail with master table: CRMD_ORDERADM_H.
