transfer transparent table from dev client to production client

Hi ABAPers,

I need some help regarding creating transparent table with data on it and transfer it including the data to another client....which is different system or box.

Can you give me some advise about this..

Here is a sample scenario..

1.Create a transparent table for acct codes named ZFGLGRP under Development Client

with the following field names / data:

FICODES FIDESC SDCODES SDDESC

4110001 Manning Fees 5331001 IT Services

2. I need this table maintenance to avoid hardcoding in the program and for easy

maintenance if ever there is a new FICODES in the future.

3. After that transfer the ZFGLGRP table including the data maintained to Production Client or different system/box.

4. I heard that , I need to use an RFC approach in order for me to do this..

Please help me ...anyone? Will reward points to those who can help me...

Thanks in advance 😊

You can transfer data with table if you create it of type 'C' then all entries will be attach to a transport request which can be transferred.

Else ask BASIS, they will map it to different servers.

    Avadudz,

We can transport a table from one server to another server, but data I am not sure of.I think we need to create the entries again the production. We did the same when we created a table for Number ranges. But,I think there will be way even to transport the table along with the data.Just search in SDN.

    Hi,

If you want to transport to another client the table content, I think you can :

    - Generate a transport request in SM30 ( Transport button)

    - use SCC1 to transport from a client to another.

    Hi,

There is a Good way to do this

Better performance and data transport is Using RFC is a Good way

Else u can create a Table in Customizing application and u can make entries using the table maintenance and u can tranport it as a Transport request and again change the table as Transperant table in other request .

But RFC is a Better way to do this.
