ASSET MASTER ERROR- BUSINESS AREA IS SUPPRESSED

Hi Friends,

While I am creating Assets in Asset Master AS01 I am getting error

Customizing Inconsistency- Business Area is Suppressed.

Its very urgent any one help me where I can change this field,

I will assign points for a helpful answer

Hello venu,

you can make the change the field as you said as optional or required by using the path (i am saying abt 6.0) FA(New)->AA->Master Data->Screen Layout->Define Screen layout for Asset Master Data->Define Screen Layout for asset Master data <---! select your layout and go to your logical filed group and again select 3 (time dependent data) and go to field group rules and make business area is optional or required .I hope ur dought is clear .

Please chek the following

1.Check the field status for the GL account that u have assigned to ur Asset

2.Check the screen layout you have defined for the assets in both places business area should be eighter optional or required field

Inconsistancy occurs when you specify it is optional in step no.1 and required in step2

thenl you have to change eighter in step 1. as required or in step 2 as optional

hi

first check whether u have given field status grp G067 for assets

then go for

spro-finacial accing-asset acting-master data-screen layout-define screen layout for asset master data

here select time dependent data and double clickkon feild status grp rules folder

then select bus area as required and select main no , sub no and copy check box

i think this solves ur prob

AA-master data-Screen layout-Define screen layout for asset master there select the screen layout rule which u r using and double click on logical field group and select time dependent field and click on field rules there u ll find business area make it optional and check the box under Main no
