We're using Spring Boot to build our application running on SAP Cloud.

For operations we'd like to add a custom log appender sending errors to a remote api.

We tried several configurations but all failed for various reasons. The most common effect is that there won't be any logging at all.

What we tried:

- our own logback.xml in the class path root (with STDOUT & our custom appender)

- logback-spring.xml

- logback-include-custom.xml

- logging.config=<logback config file somewhere else on the classpath>

Has anybody successfully provider a custom logger to a SAP Cloud Java application keeping at least the STDOUT logger working?

Thanks a lot
