Service Ticket Error: "Enter the unit of measure"

Gurus,

The IC Web Client Service Ticket appears to require a dummy product called "INVESTIGATION". We have created this product in COMMPR01, and assigned it a unit of measure of AU (Activity Units).

However, when confirming a Business Partner and accessing the service ticket, an error is displayed stating "Enter the unit of measure". This is requiring us to goto the Service ORDER, select the product INVESTIGATION, and choose "Add To Cart".

I'm assuming this is not how it is intended to work. Can anyone help to determine why the unit of measure is not carrying over? Has anyone else had this error?
