main asset -sub asset creation

hi

I had created some main assets using tc:AS01

after creation i got the msg 200001 asset created with subasset 0

But while using AS11 to create sub assets.

error msg:

"Main asset number 200001 does not exist

Message no. AA178

Diagnosis

Main asset number 200001 does not exist.

System response

The system cannot find the ANLH record for this main number. "

Neither im unable to see the main asset in DIsplay ASSET

But in AS11 screen

if i select the drop down button for main asset - i can see the 200001account

Please refer to the sap note

98640 Missing main asset number (ANLH)

Reason and Prerequisites

No entry exists in table ANLH for a record in table ANLA. A possible

cause is the modification of the ANLH with a customer program. It is

also possible, that the ANLH has been deleted due to incorrectly

archived assets.

Solution

1. Select the missing ANLH records using the attached repair program

with selection parameter TEST = 'X'.

2. After checking step 1 start the program again with selection

parameter TEST = ' '. As a result, the ANLH records are created

again.

there are few code corrections also in this note. Please follow it will solve your problem.

Hi,

Check whether the Asset is displayed using transaction code AS03. If it is displaying the error message- check in the table ANLA, whether the asset is existing at table level. For displaying values in the table use transaction code SE11 or SE16 or SE16N.

Hi Murali,

Im unable to see the details in asset display

but ithe assets r seen if the drop down button besideasset is clicked in the AS03 screen

I had checked it in ANLA

msg:

"No table entries found for specified key

Message no. MO429 "

goto AS08... enter the company code... check the last asset number created there... if it is your asset then there is some updation error within SAP.... else your asset has not been created .....

if asset number is there then try to delete the asset or block it as it is incomplete.....

Hi,

If the asset is created and not getting displayed - I guess there should be some OSS notes on this. Try Note 66755. There are quite a few on Asset Master you can explore based on error message / message no.
