is it possible to change material type after creating material??. if so how

Yes possible.

Use transaction MMAM... but no postings should have happenned before.

You can change the material type using MMAM. However if there is any open transactional data- PO's ,Prd orders and Inventory on hand the system will not be able to change the material type. You will have to ensure there is no open prd orders, PO's and no Inventory on hand before you change the material type.

Yes, You can change this from <b>MMAM</b> transaction.

This is not possible if material is with BOM or being used in BOM.
