Hello All,
Can someone let me know why do we use the following two views:
V_T588MFPROPS
V_T588MFPROPC
These two tables are added after the upgrade from 4.6c to 5.0. I guess these are for screen control for ESS scenarios. Please explain.
Thanks,
Chakri.
Your guess is correct.. During old days, these ESS changes ie making a field display only/ editable/hide/required etc were done in the corresponding HTML templates of the ESS service in question. With the above two views the HTML changes are no longer reqd & screen control can be done from SM30/31 much like it is done in V_T588M for screen control in PA20/30.

Thanks Suresh/ Sharadha,
I tried to change some fields by making them Mandatory by checking RF field. I checked the ESS screen but nothing changed. Is there any other place that I need to change to make my change in effect?
How do ESS determine the country grouping for an employee ( MOL/ UGR in SU3 ?) We don't use ESS for singapore employees but one employee transferred from singapore to US and the address got updated using PA30 from foriegn address to US address. But ESS is still looking for Singapore address record and giving some wierd address. If we delete the singapore address then this is working fine.
Please let me know.
Thanks,
Chakri.

Hi Chakri,
Yes you are Correct. These views are used to control the visiblity of the fields in the ESS Screens.By changing the settings here, you can make a field on the ESS Screen
Required field (RF), Output only or fixed.

Sharadha
