MRP2 view of the component material master you maintain "Production storage location".

or else

you can maintain in the BOM item details "Issue storage location".

Hi Vivek,

You can maintain issue storage location in BOM item data for the components in BOM and MRP2 view in issue storage location. Storage location in BOM will have the higher priority. If you give in material master this settings will applicable wherever this components is used. If in BOM then this settings will be restricted to this BOM only.

Vivek,

You can maintain the default stg location in component in prod order through:

1) Specifying it in Issue stg Loc in Material master MRP view

2) In BoM item (this has a higher priority than 1st)

3) If WH managed then through supply area associated with the work center.

The same will be populated during confirmation.
