Hi,

In generic extaction how Initilisation will happen. where as in LO extraction we need to fill the setup tables. how about Generic is there anything to do in r/3 before initilisation or only directly need to run init pack. If that is the case how it will fect the records (directly from Z tables, where as in LO set up tables). Please clear my doubt.

Thanks in adavnce

Hi,

In generic extraction the delta init is not performed like in LO (storing data in SETUP tables)

The generic init will simply fetch all the data as per defined in your DSource (from table, view, with function module....) and send it to BW. There is no "setup table staging" as in LO.

hope this clears your doubts.

Olivier.

check out the following document !!

No You dont need to fill any setup tables, You can directly run the Initialization, data will be fetched from the Z Tables or via function module as defined for the extractor by you, And Delta mechanism will work on the field set by you in the extractor definition !!

Regards.
