Hi All,
While running COGI report, I could see columns " Creation Date" , "Error Date", But I could not get the meaning of this fields from the F1 Help. could anuone of you please help me with the relevancy of these columns.
Also the Posting date some time doesn't match either of the dates.
Thanks & reagrds
Mahesh
Mahesh,
I think I have interchanged the terminoly:
What Creation date is the date when the item was created in the COGI. Error date is the date when the error was first created. The error message might change then the date of new error message is the error date.
Example: When COGI was created it came due to deficit of stock. Now you have the stock but try to post you get the "Posting date problem". So the error date now is the latest date when the new error occured. But still the creation date is the original.
Sorry for confusing you.
Regards
Ram

Prasobh,
I feel my latest message is correct. I have given an example. We could check this out.
Error date is always greater than or equal to creation date.

Mahesh,
Creation date is date on which the subsequent post processing was done but still went on error.
Eaxmple Error created on 15.07.2007. You try to post the item again on 20.07.2007. But still goes into error. The system shows this date as Creation date.
Yes, name "Creation" in this case is little deceiving...!

Mahesh,
Posting date is the date entered in the line item (BUDAT) when you post.
Error date: is the date when the error occured while originally the system posted the GI.
Posting date could be manually set while doing GI. Example when I post the GI I could set the date in the past as 30.06.2007.
So the postings date could be different from error date. Error date is the date when it occured (the system date)
Hope this helps.

Mahesh,
Let me just add an example for what Ram explained in his thread,
Today(02/07/2007) by the end of the day(23:59) I am creating a backflush record with posting date in past(01/07/2007) now a post processing record is created, but the program which posts this record runs on 03/07/2007 and throws out an error.
In this scenario,
Creation date: 02/07/2007
Posting date: 01/07/2007
Error date: 03/07/2007.
Folks correct me if I am wrong.
Regards,
Prasobh
