Hi

It is vary clear that there are more requirements planned and zero quantity available for this new plan (reservation). For details u can see the stock /requirments list (md04).

Normally this message will be warning and can be set as error based on client's requirement to prevent fresh reservations.

warm regards

Dear Sai Ram,

Thanks for your immediate reply.

I too conveyed same to user. But in develop i tested and found below result.

Material is zero qty in unrestrice. increased the material stock through MB1A to qty: 280( Movement type: 261). Already reservation is existing that material is 285.

Now i made reservation through MB21 for 10 qty, system allowing to make reservation.

Note : we made message type as error as per client requirement.

Pls guide me.

Hi,

You have to check the availability check configuration for this combination of movement type and material.

You can configure the availability check to consider the lead times and allow reservations if there is enough lead tiime to be able to procure the item in time for the requirement. Perhaps the 10 that you reserved in the last check were outside the lead times? Or perhaps the movement type has been configured to NOT check availability?

It is also possible that you have some Purchase orders or Purchase reqs that will be bringing stock in and the availabilty checks can take these into consideration too.

There are so many influincing factors that it is not easy for us to offer specific help because it all depends on the way that you have configured your system.

But the best thing you can do at the moment is to look at MD04 for this item and see ALL of the current and future requirements and ALL of the future receipts (from POs, P reqs, Planned orders etc.) and use this to see why the system is saying that there is X available.

I can confirm that the availability checks work perfectly well and follow exactly the config that has been set up, so please don't think that SAP is not doing the maths correctly it certainly IS.
