Delta fetching zero records

Hi all,

the delta load for a master data infoobject runs daily at 5.00PM.

on 30th June, the load failed due to invalid character.

as there was no one to monitor the load on saturday, it remained as it is.

on 1st July, the delta ran again and fetched the same no of records and failed with the same error.

on yesterday(2nd July) when we came, we saw the error and corrected the load which ran on 1st July.

Yesterday,the delta load again ran on 5.00PM.but we had to kill this job due to some reason.After killing i manually changed the status to red though it became red.

But with today's load it fetched 0 records with the message"no updates since the last delta"

Delta update in the monitor shows"Repeat of last delta".

so,have i lost any records in this process?how do i know if there were any records or not?

<b>observation:</b>

in R3 in table BWOM2_TIMEST the last delta entry is that of 30th.

Any useful help will be rewarded

Is data not available in PSA?

if yes, then you can proceed with loading data from PSA..

hi Dhanya

first goto rsa7, and chek the deltas in R3.

now to goto BW and delete all the request right from 30 in your data target.

now check weather the data simultaniously loading more than one data targets,

if so then delete the request even from there.

now do a repeat delta, it should load all the data from last delta.

let me know what happen.

You just need to do the Repeate Delta . Then after deltas comes with out any problem.

yesterday i corrected the 1st July load and then when 5.00PM load ran ,i had to kill the job.But with today's load it fetched 0 records.

how do i get back the lost records?

if i correct the 30th load, and again request delta ,will it bring all records from 30th?

kindly suggest me the approach!

Yes... it shoudl bring data from 30th.

I had done request repeat still the delta is fetching zero records.

and the table entry still shows last delta as 30th.

Hi,

Try this out :

<i>Reset the 'X' marker in the 'LAST_TS' column for the last successful delta extraction.

The next delta extraction then loads all data created or changed as of this date to the BW system.

To reset the 'X' marker in the 'LAST_TS' column, use the 'BWOM2_TIMEST' report.</i>

What is DS name?

Check Change Pointers Tables for Changes (CDHDR and CDPOS).

You said Yesterday(2nd), you ran corrected failed Delta (1st). Did data come to BW? is QM Status Successful?

It looks like you missed Delta Records created on 30th i.e. Jul 1st Load.
