Creating a Source System Flat File

Hello Guru's

We have installed BI 7.0 recently, we were trying to upload a Flat File ( .CSV).

But after creating an InfoSource, while trying to select PC_FILE ( Flat File) as source system. But we have not found any source system of that kind.

I really appreciate if any can provide a document for creating Flat File Source System.

You are using BI 7.0 then why to go for infosources ....is there any specific need..??

create a datasource under your flat file source system

and further create infopackage ,tranformation and DTP to map the datasource to your target object...

while creating flat file datasource ..you will have to mention the settings for .csv,and also the location of your flat file..

rest is simple...

you need to create a new flat file datasources as a 7.0 datasource. then connect the DS to infosource(optional though)
