Change Customer Master Data (Address) should not update all Sales orders,

Hi All,

In SAP if the customer’s address is updated (XD02 0r VD02 ) then all Sales Orders will automatically reflect the new address. This is a problem at my client, as it is important that the original address for the customer is maintained in Sales Orders at the time the Sales Order was created.

is there any Configartion, To prevent the address being updated in Sales Orders and to retain the original address any Sales Orders for that customer.

Hi Venkat,

There is no way tlhis can be prevented. There is a relationship between VBPA where the address number is present and the table ADRC where the exact address is maintained. So whenever you make a change in address, the changes are reflected in ADRC and hence the address keeps changing, which seems logical looking into the business process. When the partner changes his address, it is obvious that he should be communicated in the new address even for issues pertaining to old sales orders.
